This is Izzy. She's eight weeks old, and if I do say so myself, she is the best cat in the universe.

I mean, look:

Five minutes after we tore her from her mother's arms (okay: put her in a cat carrier while her mother watched in disinterest), she was asleep on my lap. I've never seen a kitten so mellow. You can pick her up while she's right in the middle of gutting a cat toy, and she'll immediately go limp in your arms and purr loudly enough to wake the neighbors.

You want her. Don't deny it. You're embarrassing yourself. But it's too late. She is mine.

I mean, ours. She's ours. Is what I meant.

I love pets in general. I have a dog and I have cats. Cats are so much better than dogs because they come as kittens. And a kitten is just about the most perfectly entertaining, bundle of sweetness ever. They act ferocious and hop around all crab like. Then the curl into a tiny ball and sleep on you or where ever they want, because they're a kitten and kittens are awesome.

OHHH! We used to have a jet black kitty. She was such a sweetie. Had to get rid of her when we moved. We've got a dog now. Sweet doggie, but not the same as my little Boo. Enjoy Izzy!

Now I want a kitten!! Though they're tricky little buggars, those kittens. First they're all sweet and snuggles and loud deisel-motor-purrs. Anything to get you HOOKED. Then they turn into lazy slobs with beer bellies with a phenomenal and supernatural ability to know where you need to be going all day, and sleep right in the middle of the way.

But hell, I friggin adore them anyway. +P

The same day I uninstalled IE8 because it wasn't displaying pages correctly Zone Alarm Firewall popped up an alert stateing IE was trying to access the internet - after I uninstalled it. I hit the deny button, but needless to say, I'm a little confused here. I'm running Windows XP SP3 on an HP Pavilion d4100e with Avira & ZA anti-virus suites & Windows Defender (they all seem to get along OK) & I run daily anti-virus scans. I uninstalled IE8 using "Add/Remove Windows Components" in the "Add/Remove Programs" feature of Control Panel. Does anyone out there have a clue? I'm posting this before trying my own Google search.
