My Announcement: The Practice of Writing

The Practice of Writing is a five-week online course I'm offering right here on the blog, beginning October 15th. If you want to write, no matter where you are in your life, I want to help. Let's get past your fears, establish a daily writing habit, and figure out what stories you want to tell. From the course page:
It's easy to get stuck. Our brains are excellent at getting us to avoid working, and the more we avoid working, the harder it is to return. Soon we declare that we're hopeless. That if we were really meant to be writers, we would be writing. And then we give up.
You need a jumpstart. I can help you with that.
I'm so excited about this, and I hope you are, too. All the details can be found on the course page. Registration begins today and ends October 5th, or when the class fills to capacity. The class will normally be available for $95 USD but this session will be offered for $75.

Alice! You are awesome!
So. freaking. awesome.
K.
Very tempting...I wish my October schedule wasn't as crazy as it's stacking up to be! I've been told SO many times throughout my life that I should be a writer (by teachers, several psychics :), and friends) and I used to LOVE to do creative writing. I blame all the news writing courses I had to take in college for ruining my writing style, and my love of the craft. How often will you be offering the course? I would love to check it out, but Oct. won't work this time. :(
This is spectacular. I was waiting for the announcement of something special; this does not disappoint.
I would love to take this, but will have to wait for the next session. Great idea!
I'm breathing so hard I'm dizzy.
This is a good thing.
Maybe it's not a good thing.
Either way, even if I die from excitement, it's how I wanna go.
They can say that at my funeral, too. "Dying over Alice Bradley, that's the way she would've wanted it."
CANNOT WAIT. I am alllllllllll registered up.
Done. I'm in. Yes. This.
I've been itching to write again, and have been putting it off. A (not-so-very) coincidental payment to my paypal account followed by finding this announcement in my google reader?
Done. I'm in. Yes. This!
That is so cool. I wish I could do this with you and glean your fabulous wisdom--because the bits and pieces you throw out really stick with me. I suspect it is going to be amazing. I hope you will offer it again in the summer when I sometimes have a bit of time!
This is amazing! Hey alice, this could be a daft question, I live in Italy, can I still register? Thank you
Read your tweet last night and woke up first thing (uh after parking my toddler in front of Elmo) to register. Psyched! Thank you!
Amanda: yes! You can sign up! Even though you're in some kind of foreign land!
I will be offering the course again, although I'm not sure about the timing. I'll have to see how this one goes and how exhausted I am. OR ENERGIZED. Look at me, being all positive.
This is the best idea ever. If I wasn't already a full-time student I would be signed up now. Instead I will wait for Round 2 and hope I'm less busy that time.
I am so stuck right now. This is just what I need. I'm in!
Is this strictly for fiction writing, or does it work for bloggers too? I'm so stuck w/my blog writing.
Does it have to be fiction writing?
Hi guys: No, no, not just fiction writing! Writing in general. This is all about getting unstuck, so any genre works. Even poetry, screenwriting, etc.
I registered. I hope I *do* this, as it could easily be like the yoga classes/gym membership/etc. where I paid and then was paralyzed. My fear is considerable, I will say that. But is that a good thing or a bad thing? At the very least, I may be encouraged to update my much-neglected blog, right?
Yay, Reid! It will be good, I promise. Nothing to fear. From me, anyway.
I'm in! All sorts of excited!
And all types of scared! But just what I need to shake things up a bit.
Shaking things up is good!
I'm all signed up and so excited!
Yay! I'm all over this like a [ ________ ] on a [ _____________ ]!
Hurrah! Just signed up. After a few days dithering, I realized that I would be seriously devastated the course filled up before I'd finished my dither.
sorry for the silly question, but will there be a way to interact with others as we try to delve into our creativity and writing skills?
Not a silly question at all, e. The course will be formatted like a blog, so you can comment and interact with other in the comments.
